About me

I’ve been studying, teaching and researching in the field of Criminology for over fifteen years in the UK. I classify myself as an applied critical criminologist, I enjoy challenging the norm, questioning the taken for granted and impacting on the future of crime and justice. I also find myself questioning my own values and beliefs at times and hope to use this blog as an outlet for these times of uncertainty.

I have made this blog anonymous on the basis that I want to avoid any repetitional harm to either myself or my institution – as a libertarian I support freedom of speech and expression and hope you will join me in thinking critically about crime, justice and more general academic practices.
